A shallow platter thrown with a blend of textured iron-rich clays and glazed in Sphagnum, one of the finishes in the Birch collection. This platter has been glaze-fired twice which has intensified the vibrancy of the green and has drawn some beautiful, subtle iron flecking to the surface. The outer surface is left unglazed to allow the simplicity of this tactile, earthly surface to frame the vibrancy of the inner glazed surface.

Sphagnum: The glow of vibrant green, squelchy moss underfoot, birch draping overhead. Somewhere between solid ground and not. An earthy, glossy green glaze with dark iron and sandy color flecks peeking through from the clay. Made with silver birch ash.

For use as a display piece to bring a soft, natural palette indoors, or as a functional platter for serving cheese and crackers, or other festive nibbles.

Dimensions: approx. 28 cm upper ø x 2.5 cm H. For best care, wash by hand.
